Astrid Busch and Susanne Kutter
The dual exhibition presented by 28.01. to 26.03. The two artists Astrid Busch and Susan Cutter. The deal in different approaches to the questioning of space and viewer position.
Astrid Busch (b. 1968) work shows haunted landscapes, lost-looking People and destroyed rooms. The combination of photography, installation and video work creates a very special exhibition scene, playing alongside sinister aspects, with the position of the observer and the feeling of space.
Susanne Kutter (* 1971) small-scale, only a shoe box-sized installations and video works show interiors. These are populated by a variety of insects and on camera by flooding and earthquakes destroyed. The perspective of the represented space and gets tilted slightly surreal. The cozy interior is threatened and occupied the safe place.
have published a book with a foreword by Sabrina Hoff and texts by Dr. Barbara J. Scheuermann (curator) and Dr. Thomas Niemeyer (curator Marta Herford)
The exhibition takes place in the exhibition space of the Apex, Castle Road 46, and in the rooms of the Cheltenham House, Frederick Street 1 instead .
